Co-Founder

RAD Girls Club of Vermont / November 2015-November 2017

The RAD Girls Club of Vermont was founded on the belief that every dog deserves a second chance. My co-founder, Chelsea and I met in the summer of 2015 and immediately bonded over our rescue dogs. In many ways, our dogs saved our lives, and we knew other people could benefit from rescuing. Because of our experiences, we both felt a responsibility to give back to the rescue community. What started off as weekly visits to the shelter turned into day long trips with dogs hiking in the mountains of Vermont. We noticed that stigmatized breeds such as American Pit Bull Terriers and senior dogs were being overlooked in the shelters. The idea for RAD Girls Club was born out the belief that capturing imagery of dogs spending time in nature as opposed to inside a cage or shelter might help them get adopted. RAD stands for redemption for adoptable dogs. Throughout our time as a functioning 501c3, we raised funds to help transport dogs, provided medical treatments, and supplies such as dog food and leashes for shelters. We partnered with music festivals & local businesses to advocate for over 100 dogs.
